intotheproductisacriticalpartofthedesignprocess;therefore,itisessential toconsideritearlyso
performanceisnotcompromised.IfyoumakechangestothecertifiedantennasystemoftheMultiModem,
thenrecertifi
cationisrequiredbyspecificnetworkcarrierssuchasSprint.Theantennasystemisdefinedasthe
UFLconnectionpointfromtheMultiModemtothespecifiedcablespecificationsandspecifiedantenna
specifications.
FCCRequirementsfortheAntenna
Theantennagain,includingcableloss,fortheradioyouareincorporatingintoyourproductdesignmustnot
exceedtherequirementsat850MHzand1900MHzasspecifiedbytheFCCgrantformobileoperationsand
fixedmountedoperationsasdefinedin2.1091and1.1307oftheFCCrulesforsatisfyingRFex
posure
compliance.Theantennausedfortransmittingmustbeinstalledtoprovideaseparationdistanceofatleast
20cmfromallpersonsandmustnottransmitsimultaneouslywithanyotherantennatransmitters.Userand
installersmustbeprovidedwithantennainstallationinstructionsandtransmit teroperatingconditionsto
satisfyingRFexposurecompliance.
