Chapter 3 – Supported GSM/WCDMA AT Commands
High Speed HSPA-H4 AT Commands Reference Guide (Document S000483A) 125
+CPIN Enter PIN
Description: This command is used to enter the mobile equipment passwords (PIN1/CHV1, PIN2/CHV2,
PUK1, PUK2, etc.) that are required before any mobile equipment functionality can be used.
PIN1/CHV1 and PIN2/CHV2 are between 4 and 8 digits long; PUK1 and PUK2 are only 8
digits long.
After three unsuccessful attempts to enter the PIN, the PUK will be required. PUK validation
forces the user to enter a new PIN code as a second parameter and this will be the new PIN
code if PUK validation succeeds. PIN 1/CHV 1 is then enabled if PUK1 is correct.
The application is responsible for checking the PIN after each reset or power on if the PIN
was enabled.
